samenvatting: Marian Lens a consacré sa vie au militantisme féministe, lesbien, radical, « glorieux et festif ». En cinq archives, elle retrace le rôle pionnier des lesbiennes belges. Elle a frondé. Au sein des cortèges féministes dans les années 80. Elle a fondé, aussi. Des lieux d?émancipation, comme Artemys, la première librairie féministe lesbienne de Belgique, ou la Rainbow House, coupole des différentes associations LGBTQI+ bruxelloises. Plus tard, Marian Lens créera L-Tours, des visites guidées sur l?histoire arc-en-ciel de la capitale. Aujourd?hui, Marian Lens a 62 ans. Bavarde et cérébrale, elle raconte le chemin qui a été parcouru par les lesbiennes depuis les années 1980, en s'appuyant sur une immense collection de publications, photos, tracts politiques et coupures de presse. Conserver ces traces, « c?est sécuriser la mémoire d?un mouvement de plus de 50 ans », dit-elle.

samenvatting: Dit onderzoek focust zich op de ontwikkeling van de positie van de lesbische vrouwen in de homo- en lesbische emancipatie beweging in 1949 tot 1968. Het veranderende seksuele klimaat na de Tweede Wereldoorlog, dit vooral door de ontzuiling en ander maatschappelijke veranderingen, creëerde ruimte voor nieuwe seksuele ideeën. De seksuele revolutie werd gezien als een belangrijke factor voor de verdere ontwikkeling van de homo- en lesbische emancipatiebeweging in Nederland. Daarnaast kwamen lesbische vrouwen tijdens de tweede feministische golf in opstand tegen hun achtergestelde positie, wat leidde tot het afbrokkelen van de aanname dat zij van nature al geëmancipeerd waren. Artikelen en beeldmateriaal uit de volgende twee tijdschriften zijn geanalyseerd; Vriendschap (1949-1964) en Dialoog (1965-1968), om de invloeden van zowel de seksuele revolutie als de tweede feministische golf op de positie van de lesbische vrouw te analyseren. Hieruit bleek dat in de eerste jaren van Vriendschap de lesbische vrouw nog een ondergeschoven positie had binnen de emancipatie beweging. Deze verbeterde echter met de tijd en lesbische vrouwen werden zich bewust van hun dubbele onderdrukking in de latere uitgaven van Vriendschap en wisten zich tegen de systemische onderdrukking en de heersende mannelijke norm te verzetten. Hoewel de fragmenten uit Dialoog een tegenslag leken te geven op de positie van de lesbische vrouw, wisten zowel de seksuele revolutie als de tweede feministische golf een positieve invloed uit te oefenen op de positie van de lesbische vrouw.

samenvatting: In this article, I expand popular readings of Chicana lesbianism focused on sexuality by tending more deeply to the affective terrains of love and kinship represented in the 1991 anthology Chicana Lesbians: The Girls Our Mothers Warned Us About edited by Carla Trujillo. Countering the (il)logics of white supremacy and Chicano nationalism which reduce Chicana lesbians to symbols of sexual deviance, I argue that Chicana Lesbians embodies an expansive matrix of intimacies that reconstruct the Chicana lesbian figure from a one-dimensional symbol of sexual deviance to a multi-faceted figure who redefines what it means to love one's people and culture beyond colonial paradigms that privilege heterosexuality. Drawing upon theories of decolonial love and queer asexuality, I examine the expansive inner lives and intimacies of Chicana lesbians to construct a more thorough portrait of how we love and relate to each other. While many studies foreground the sexual lives and politics of Chicana lesbians as subversive to the heteronormative status quo, I elevate the equally powerful forces of love and kinship in our struggle to transform the legacies of colonialism and Chicano nationalism.
